Alpha Data:

Please introduce yourself. What do you want us to know about you?

Vasia Pemberton:

I am an engineer, producer, and DJ who is trying to change the way people think by making music.

AD:

How has music shaped your life?

VP:

Ever since I was a kid I was always hearing rhythms and patterns in my head so I decided to try and express what I could with that and saw that it was authentic and tangibly changing the world around me. I decided to pursue this potential in order to create communities of like-minded people who want to make concrete and authentic change in all of our lives.

AD:

What is the purpose of art/music?

VP:

The purpose of art is to uplift the spirit and to give an offering to the space that we don't fully understand. We have to design and perfect our ideas with balance in a way that gives our souls opportunity to feel existential relaxation, we make happen what we feel the need to create in the world or we give way to other forms of aesthetic appreciation by choosing what to think about and what we think of manifests in reality.

The purpose of music to me is, music is a message, a carrier of frequency at the most principal level.

AD:

What are some things that have shaped your aesthetic/artistic approach?

VP:

My aesthetics have largely been influenced not by a mere love for science fiction but actually an obsessive yearning for a transcendental, elevated form of consciousness that we have long lost and may one day recover. When we think of our future, we can only see whether it will hold our own demise or evolution. The distance of the “future” is so great that there is nothing to do but ponder the endless void, or to question how it is we arrived here in this moment in the first place.

My art is largely influenced by counterculture beliefs or rather the intense desire to pull the veil of the controlled narrative and expose truths to a degree that would put people into action at a formal level, where principals of forward thinking can be applied at a deeper level—maybe even reforming systems of education and politics to include even greater mindfulness of their constitution; we need to build around the potentiality of psychic awareness. When my music is approached, you understand it’s going to be a psychic experience; you know that you are meant to hear that frequency at that exact time.

AD:

What do you hope to achieve in life?

VP:

I wish to make a positive or knowledge-expanding difference in this world while enjoying my time on this planet. I wish to fully experience life in all its glory and inspire others by shining infinite bright energy

AD:

What has been inspiring you lately?

VP:

Recently I have been obsessed with ESP training. When I meditate into a state of pure consciousness, I can communicate with other dimensions, and I can sometimes achieve omniscience.

AD:

Hobbies? Guilty pleasures?

VP:

I consume an egregious amount of content and movies. Every time I close my eyes, thousands of images flash before me. I am always making sense of a dream that I am building in my mind. A dream of a heaven of my own creation.

AD:

Spirit animal?

VP:

Polar bear? Or octopus. Or water buffalo.

AD:

Last meal?

VP:

Probably sushi or something really fatty with hot sauce if I’m bout to go.
